ISO file size difference

Hi all,

I've just started using ImgBurn and have a question about the final file size of ISO images built from existing DVD video files. The ISO file size created in ImgBurn is always a tiny bit different (e.g. 30 Kb) from a second ISO ripped directly off the same DVD.

In summary:

1. Rip DVD to hard disk. Build ISO from hard disk files.

2. Rip DVD directly to ISO.

Should I be worried about this difference in file size?

Thanks.

1 makes a new file system, 2 doesn't.

You can't really compare them.

The content of both images should be the same (assuming there's no clever stuff going on with having multiple files use the same sectors - 1 would then make a much larger ISO)

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the content of both images is the same. Each ISO image only contains the DVD video files. The only thing different is the file size, but that is because the file system is being created.
