zabius Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Whenever I burn anything using ImgBurn - afterwards the DVD drive either disappears from 'My Computer' or it appears and it will never read the disc that has just burned. However if I restart my PC everything is back to normal til I do another burn, any ideas as it is frustrating having to restart my computer when doing multiple burns to discs. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 If the OS doesn't see the disc, normally it's because you (or some other app) has killed (disabled) the autoinsert / media control notification stuff built into Windows. I have no problem with it here, Windows usually pops up the 'Autorun' box between a Write and Verify operation - exactly as it should do. Your drive totally vanishing from Explorer isn't a good sign!
