Lilbit1985 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I am currently trying to erase an old Memorex DVD+RW using Imageburn and I am currently stuck at 78% and then it will go back down to 77% and then back to 78% and doesn't seem to want to erase the disc any further. I have never had a problem with Imageburn. I think it may possibly be that the dvd has just gone bad, but I was hoping to try to salvage it using imageburn as I have so many other times before with this disc using imageburn, and many other dvd+rw dvds. Any answers on what i can do? I can't terminate the erase process on imageburn because it want let me. It has to finish, but as I previously stated above, it will not erase any further than 78% and is stuck there. It says its still erasing, but its back and forth between 77% and 78%. What can I do? I need to get this dvd out of my lap top, but I can't if the erase process cannot be terminated.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 ImgBurn isn't actually doing the erase, the drive is. That's why you can't really terminate it. Best you could do is terminate ImgBurn (using task manager), shut the PC down and then eject the disc when you boot it back up again.
