mmalves Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Then you should start looking at a new burner, preferably not a slimline one since they're rubbish.

Its not the drive the reason I bought that particular drive was because of the reviews it received and because it was recommended by a guy on youtube that has made loads of ISO discs with the same drive and programmes. So I'm still confused :L
Cynthia Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Assuming it was a new disc you tried with, the burner can't even read the right size of the discs. I 23:07:21 Destination Device: [16:0:0] _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A 2.40 (F:) (USB)I 23:07:21 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: UMEDISC-DL1-64) I 23:07:21 Destination Media Sectors: 3,827,520 Should be something like this in size. I 16:49:25 Destination Media Sectors: 4 173 824 Not sure why you switched away from SPTI.

Ok well I will try 2 things 1: I will reset all the settings back to normal, ill buy verbatims again and only change what I need to for my Xbox game and if that doesn't work 2: I will end up just putting the Disk image and the actual game to a usb stick and use my grand-dads laptop which runs on windows xp and the drive is Optiarc DVD RW AD-5540A 2.61 (ATA) witch I think burns DL. When I said I had tried verbatims and got the same error that was from the first time I ever tried to use imgburn but I lost the discs :L so ill go buy new discs and see if it works. 2 Questions will this burner work and is it ok if its on windows xp?
