Setting speed from the command line differently for DVDs and CDs

Yes, but the AWS settings are based on the disc id, yes? How do I make an entry for all CD disc ids and another for all DVD disc ids? I did read the guide, but I don't see how that could be done. Do I just enter "CD" and "DVD" in place of the disc id?

You can add 'DVD-R' and it'll burn all DVD-R (that aren't otherwise specified) at whatever speed you select. The same can be done for 'DVD+R'. Just add this text in the DiscID field.

Oh, I didn't know you could do that. I assume this would be the list of possible options:

CD-R

CD-RW

DVD-R

DVD+R

DVD-RW

DVD+RW

I don't need bluray settings, but I assume there would be something applicable.

BTW, the readme says:

/SPEED <Write Speed>
Used to change the value of the 'Write Speed' drop down list.
The parameter must match the value within the drop down list exactly.
Examples: /SPEED MAX
	  /SPEED 1x
/SPEED 2.4x (or 2,4x depending on regional settings)

I'd like to ensure I override any settings and force AWS from the command line. Is "/SPEED AWS" or "/SPEED AUTO" the correct way to do it?

The old name was AUTO and was replaced by AWS. So I think you should use AWS, but I guess LUK is the one to know for sure.
