LondonNewbie Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hi, I'm new to this and I have a few questions. I have a movie I downloaded and wanted to copy it for someone. On my hard drive media player the movie is in a folder marked "Video_TS". My first question is: Can I just copy this folder onto a DVD-R and will it play on my dvd player? In any event I downloaded imageburn (having had a nightmare with nero recode) and saved the file as an ISO. I then burned this ISO onto a Sony DVD-R, but when I tried to play it on my Sony DVD/HDD player it said "no title" and woouldn't play it. I then put it in our second DVDR/VCR combi player and it loaded up and started playing. As an experiment I recorded a few seconds onto the Sony's hard drive (successfully). I tried to play it again on the Sony but it gave me the same on-screen "no title" message. However, when I tried to play it again on the (Samsung) VCR/DVDR I then got a message saying the disc was unreadable and unwriteable! The disc will play on my computer via the DVD burner. Here's the burn log. I'd appreciate any help you guys could provide. I have a load of avi files of documentaries I have downloaded that's I'd like to burn to DVD for friends. I've tried DVD flick, but end up with the same troubles I've had above and I don't want to waste loads of blank discs. Someone recommended DVD Santa - is it any good? ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 - Log ; Sunday, 29 January 2012, 01:06:03 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 22:28:40 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Maybe it's the discs you're using? If they burn+verify on the PC drive, they should at least work ok in that (and it sounds like they do). That doesn't mean your standalone players won't have problems reading them though.

Hi and thanks, I'm using Sony dvd-r ver 2.0. Don't understand why it played once in the standalone and then stopped.
