I downloaded the three files (boot.wim + install.wim + X14-63453), extracted them using the X-1463453 and got ended up with an image roughly identical to an original retail Vista X64 I happen to have. I tested the disc I ended up with on a functional computer and it smoothly launches the installation setup (both automatically when I drop it in the optical drive by implementing the autorun present therein or alternatively by manually clicking the setup.exe file). Yet, attempting to use that burnt disc to set up a clean installation with a blank HDD, it doesn't boot. What need I do to get such burnt disc to boot? The original retail disc boots smoothly, so I know there's no problem with the computer I want to set up.

Have you read the guide in the guides section?

If you don't have all the files/folders, it's not going to work.

If you have an original retail disc that boots, why are you trying to build another one?
