So...this happened. ImgBurn worked perfectly up until recently, when I got a new motherboard and, consequently, a fresh installation of Windows. Hasn't worked since then. Here are my logs.

I should add that my AV does not report any infections, and I have the latest chipset drivers.

The last line in that log shows the program trying to communicate with the DAEMON Tools virtual drive... so that's where your problem lies.

 

I don't know what the deal is with your Pioneer drive but it appears to be locked by something and is therefore inaccessible to ImgBurn - hence the 'Access Denied' messages.

So what should/can I do?

oh hang on a minute... is it really getting stuck (can't tell with an image mounted in DT as it's not erroring out) or are you just not seeing the burner in the program?

 

Reboot and try the program in safe mode.

I've already installed the latest version of the BIOS. The drivers you linked fail to install:

Update the JMicron device manually via Device Manager then.

 

After extracting the zip somewhere, point the update driver process at R1.17.63.01\Driver\amd64.

 

Do you have any other optical drive related programs installed?

 

Do you have anything like 'Unlocker' or 'LockHunter' installed? Maybe one of those would tell you what's causing the 'Access Denied' messages when trying to communicate with your Pioneer drive? Just right click the drive and pick 'Unlocker' or 'What's locking this file?'.
