in this case the drive becomes unresponsive and the only solution is to restart

Try with the current release of ImgBurn and report back with a new log please if you still have a problem.

 

You can probably try that ISO and disc again using Verify mode - no need to burn.

 

If your're still getting errors like in the picture you attached, you have DMA issues. That could be due to the controller the drive is attached to, the cable, drivers etc.
