David Wall VA Fairfax
I wrote a Win2K8 iso to a DVD+R a bit ago and it failed to boot (though ImgBurn says the burn was successful). I was also unable to open the DVD post-burn on a Win7 machine. The ISO is good, I mounted it with CloneDVD without issues. The PC (which I am running ImgBurn on) is a Win7 SP1, DELL Dimension 5150. So, I tried a DVD-R (just in case - actually more than one, just to be sure). The drive would not initialize the disc. So I restarted and then decided to upgraded the firmware on my DVD/RW drive, after which I recieved the error below. So, I upgraded ImgBurn from 2.5.5.0 to 2.5.6.0. And I am still getting this same error. The Log should be attached. As well as a screen shot of the GUI error which reads: I/O Error! LIGHTNING UK!
Your drive is reporting a type of 'Write Error' so it doesn't like something about the disc(s). Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.
