tehbenchu Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I have been using Imgburn for quite a while now without any problem. Recently I noticed that whenever I open Imgburn, it stayed open for only about 5 seconds and then it shuts down by itself. Appreciate any help given. Imgburn has been one of the best burning software I have used so far.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 There's probably another program on your machine that's shutting it down. Does the program start up with a red edge? I understand that's some sort of 'sandbox' feature of certain antivirus programs.

I inactivated the AutoSandbox feature in Avast Antivirus and the problem was solved. Thanks again and best regards.
davmil Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Ditto: It's Avast 7.0 free AV causing the problem. The red border is the giveaway. Open the interface, go to Additional Protection Tab, Then "Auto Sandbox." In Auto Sandbox, open settings and add imgburn to the exclusions list. While you're in there, I'd change the Auto Sandbox setting to "Ask" so that the AV program tells you when it's going to run something in the "sandbox" and you can mark good guys like Imgburn to the good guys list when first run.
