photo_angel2004 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) Every disc that I have burned had not been able to play on any stand alone player, although the back ups play fine on my 3 computers and my son's Play Station2. We have 2 stand alone players in the house and last night I sent a burn to a friends house to see if the disc would play on his play. NO it didnt. I have used Nero CD speed to test the quality of the burn all on the 90"s good burns, I used Verbatim, TY and Princo discs. I have used Shrink to create the ISO - still no go on the playback. I have been told that you can burn stright from the Video_TS folder with this new version of IMGburn yet I am having no luck figuring that out. I have gone through the guides and it look like the "Build may be what I need?" not sure. First question is how do I burn from the Video_TS folder without it being an .ISO file. Thank you, Again I am not sure what the problem here is if it is a problem with ripit4me or shrink or imgburn. Oh ya the movie is RV region 1 Edited August 21, 2006 by photo_angel2004
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Turn off 32k gap padding and burn another one.
photo_angel2004 Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) I dont know what you mean by that I have been at this all night last night and have burned now 7 DVD's that will not play on a stanalone. Other then PS2. Here are some of the logs not all of them have been save some were delete by accident: Can IMGburn burn from a Video_TS folder or does it have to be an .ISO ? kevdriver Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 PA, open IMG> tools >settings> build> make sure 32K padding is unchecked. See if this helps. ** This is what turning off 32K padding is/does. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=23177
photo_angel2004 Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Ok I got the 32K padding part I am still compltely lost on how to burn any thing other then an .ISO is this even possible?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Oh sorry, I assumed you were already using 'Build' mode (I didn't fully read your first post). Read the guides forum if you don't understand how to use it. If you're just burning ISO files I have no idea why they're not working. I assume you've tried the obviously bitsetting stuff - if you're using +R media of course!
photo_angel2004 Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) Hello thanks for the help. I am using DVD-R discs. By looking at all of the logs and the nero CD quality scans on all of the burns there shouldnt be any reason why they wont play on a stand alone player but none of them do. I think I figured out how to use the build mode In a few minutes I will know if that burn will play in any of my stand alones or not. Ok this burn still will not play on the stand alones and completely locks up my Toshiba to the point I have to Kill the pwer on it. And turn it back on and real fast eject the disc before it trys to read it again. Here is the log. ImgBurn_from_video_TS.log Edited August 21, 2006 by photo_angel2004
polopony Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hello thanks for the help. I am not sure if this is a Imgburn issue or a RipIt4Me issue this has every one at DD stumped for now as well. I am using DVD-R discs. By looking at all of the logs and the nero CD quality scans on all of the burns there shouldnt be any reason why they wont play on a stand alone player but none of them do. RV is the ONLY movie I am having this issue with it may be something with that New DVD as well. I am simply trying to back this movie up in different ways hoping one of them will play on a stand alone player. PA you really put us in an akward position by stating that you're backing up movie dvd's .For legal reasons we are not allowed to offer advice on how to .We do help with the burning of ISO's and now with V2.0 IMGburn can build an ISO from the Video _ts folder that it will also burn
photo_angel2004 Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Sorry about that I forgot all about that I have edited my posts. Thank you for your help.
lfcrule1972 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hi PA - how ya doing ? Trust you to bugger up ImgBurn So are you sorted now or still having bother ? I assume you haven't fiddled with any settings on ImgBurn, if you have restore the defaults. Build mode - have you sorted this now ? Corny has done some cracking guides, but its quite straightforward, if you have a video_ts folder. When you open ImgBurn, select Build mode from the Mode button at the top. Once in Build mode, select the folder icon and browse to where the video_ts folder is on your pc. Then you need to ensure that the output will be burned to disc ( I think you have this bit already), before you click burn just check under the options tab (top right of the GUI) that the file system is ISO9660 +UDF and then under labels tab you can insert your own title in the volume label sections. Check the verify button and then click to burn. Any problems let me know !
lfcrule1972 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 can you play your iso in power dvd? Yes mate I can Thanks for asking.....
photo_angel2004 Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) can you play your iso in power dvd? Yes it plays on my computer but not on stand alone aslo plays on a PS2. Thank you, @lfc, No I have never had a need to change any of my settings in IMGburn the only thing I changed was: 32K padding is unchecked After posting this thread. Thank you, Edited August 22, 2006 by photo_angel2004
davidw89 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Try using DVD+R disc (These are better) set to booktype: DVD ROM (you can set it in Imgburn). This will make sure it work on dvd player. It worked for me so..
photo_angel2004 Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 Try using DVD+R disc (These are better) set to booktype: DVD ROM (you can set it in Imgburn). This will make sure it work on dvd player. It worked for me so.. I will give that a try I dont have any dvd+R now due to the fact that my Toshiba wont play them, with setting the booktype it should I just never gave that a try yet. I will pick up some DVD+R and see if that works. I actually do have some somehwere I but when and if I do find them they are about 5 years old LOL that is when I discovered my player didnt like those. I kept them for data and dont remember where I put them. they are proabably 1 or 2 X anyways. thank you,
photo_angel2004 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 (edited) Let us know how you get on Well I am finding that IMGburn is not to blame and all is well with IMGBurn. I did get one to play on my stand alones last night. Hey! Considering this forum is somewhat restricted to what can and cant be said that is all I can say on that right now. I would like to thank everyone for their help on this matter and I did learn more about IMGburn, and that 32k padding stuff: which is a good thing since I use it every day. Thanks every one for your time and efforts. I do plan to play around more with this "build feature in this new version of IMGburn though. Edited August 23, 2006 by photo_angel2004
blutach Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Do so angel, it's a real winner - you actually don't need to build an ISO at all cos you can burn with the device as your target. Regards
kevdriver Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Glad your sorting through it PA, Sorry I couldn't be of more help with RV....... #39;( . You know my PM....
