I finalised an -RW disk, and whilst my home recorder still formats and writes to it, my PC will not, saying the disk is full. Someone has told me that if you finalise a -RW disk it is useless. Is this true? If not, can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

That 'someone' is wrong.

Unless the disc is truly dead to the drive, you should just be able to erase it and start again from scratch.

Open ImgBurn, switch to Write mode, put the disc in the drive and copy + paste the disc info from the panel on the right. If the panel is empty (well, only contains a couple of lines), tell me what it says in the status bar at the bottom of the main window.
