NesteaZen Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12171 How exactly does one split with 7-zip? Do you need to unpack first? In either case will the new ISO image be already compatible with the .mds file? edit: forgot to put in the brackets in the title: tip from Edited March 10, 2012 by NesteaZen
Cynthia Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Install hte program and then right click on the iso file and select 7-Zip -> Extract to "your iso name". In either case will the new ISO image be already compatible with the .mds file? If another layer break is selected, no. Always better/safer to use the "new" .mds file that is created when you build something.
NesteaZen Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 This step I knew. I simply thought you meant with split, 7-zip will create the proper ISO itself. I was a bit surprised. That's all. Alright, I'll try it now. Thanks for the support.
Cynthia Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Another (disk saving space) option is to mount the ISO with a free image tool, like http://www.dvdfab.com/virtual-drive.htm , then just build a new image with ImgBurn.
NesteaZen Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) Ok, everything worked. Even with my TSSTcorp. drive (LIGHTNING UK! complained in a 2006 edit:thread about Samsung's bitsetting). Ah right, helpful stuff always escapes my mind when I'm stuck. At the moment I have Daemon Tools. Have you tried WinCDEmu? I always meant to try it but never came around to do it.
