cowboys6190 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) I am trying to back-up a couple of my 3D blu-rays. I just bought a pack of Digistor 50GB discs (not cheap)... I am trying to burn the ISO copy of the movie and am immediately getting the power calibration area error. This is right at the write leadin phase. I have cleaned the burner out. I have tried a couple different BD-DL from the spindle I just bought. I am only trying to burn at 2X, which is the only supported speed. I have the most current firmware for my drive, at lease that I could find. I have also tried burning a couple other BD 3D ISO's and get the same error. I have been able to burn a non-3D backup to a BD-25 during this time with no problems. I am getting frustrated as this spindle of BD-DL were not cheap. I have tried the last couple in "test mode" so that I would not keep creating expensive coasters. Are my BD drive and BD-DL's not compatible??? If so, what BD drive would be recommended as I do not want these discs to go to waste. Below is one of the logs from my attempts to burn the 3D ISO. I 14:41:04 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! I have downloaded the .exe file but am not having any luck in flashing it. The program opened but none of my disk drives show up as being available for update. I tried to manually link the .exe to the device driver update screen but that did not work. Any ideas on how I can flash this.... Thanks! Edited March 10, 2012 by cowboys6190
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Even my drive shows up in it and it's a BH12LS38.... so your issue is probably related to your controller. Try flashing in safemode. btw, just as the program warns when you attempt it, 'Test Mode' doesn't work for BD-R. At least not on my LG drive it doesn't.
