biowep Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Hi sorry for the new topic but I can't find a solution to my problem. I read this topic http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 And I followed all the five targets but I still have this error, that appears after the buffer is 100% and the writing didn't begin. Cynthia Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 DVD+R DL Verbatin 8x The posted log shows that you use single layer discs.
biowep Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) DVD+R DL Verbatin 8x The posted log shows that you use single layer discs. I checked in Computer and the available space on disk appears to be 4.25GB. Could it be a system error? The disk Is Verbatim DVD+R DL 8x (Double Layer, Double Couche), I always used them with Windows Vista. Edited March 18, 2012 by biowep

biowep Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 W 14:59:53 User accepted disc space warning and is attempting to truncate! I 14:59:54 Source File Sectors: 4.267.015 (MODE1/2048) I 14:59:54 Source File Size: 8.738.846.720 bytes I 14:59:54 Destination Media Type: DVD+R I 14:59:54 Destination Media Sectors: 2.228.225 Something in that log don't match your saying. The log is correct. I am 100% sure the disk is Dual Layer, verbatim original. I didn't pay attention to disk size because of the XGD3 (Xbox Game Data 3) particularity: it is 8.7GB (0.2GB more than a DL). So, various guides recommend to truncate overflow data (that is the same for any disk). This is the reason I have not noticed that my disk is 4.25GB. I realize that is no longer a problem related to ImgBurn but I would be grateful if someone can tell me why my computer considers only 4.25GB of the 8.5GB. In the past I have burned this kind of DVDs with this drive.
ianymaty Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Maybe try a new disc from a different spindle? That disc seems damaged, did you used it in a previous attempt?
biowep Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 I just checked a new disk 4/5 (just removed the plastic), it seems to be 4,25GB
