I'm trying to burn a iso to a memorex DVD + RW and I get the error

Failed to Erase Disc! - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

I just downloaded imgburn, so I assume I have the latest version. My drive is a MATSHITA BD-CMB UJ141AF 1.00 (ATAPI). Any help would be appreciated regarding this error

That RW disc worked in the past in that drive? Did you have succes burning and reburning on it?

Maybe it's worn out, scrathed or have fingerprint on the surface.

If it's brand new, your drive may not have support for it. Try other brands with different MID/dye.

Sure, a log would be nice.

This is my first time using my drive for burning (I just recently purchased the laptop). However after some research I know my drive supports DVD + RW.

The disc is brand new I just bought it. I tried a different yet same type of disc and got the same result.

Understand this is an old thread but here goes; trying different disks from various manufacturers the issue seems to be more related to win7 then the

what kind of disks are being used, I had no issues burning a dvd wr on the same machine using win10 pro and image burn or the default wi10 burning

software.

Win7  burning software has many issues, can't burn most any dvd formatted disks with either the dvd drive is too fast or the disk cannot burn fast enough.

I could format a dvd wr for udf 2.01 but not copy anything too it, yet win10 was fine using copy and past.
