LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Put the current release back on, old ones aren't supported. The log shows you that it's waiting for the drive to become ready again. Have you pushed the tray back in? If you have, tell me what message you see in the status bar of the main window.
gobucks4ever Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 nothing happens when i push the tray back in. keeps saying Waiting for device to become ready...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Re-read the last line of my post please. I need to know EXACTLY what it says.
gobucks4ever Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 need to try it again don't remember what it exactly said b back in a few
gobucks4ever Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 sorry for the delay. i reinstalled the newest version of imgburn. i got it to burn but only @ 4x. if i go any higher it gets stuck on the verify. also dvd shrink is running really slow.
gobucks4ever Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 when i try anything higher than 4 the status bar of the main window reads " device not ready ( medium not present - tray closed ) when it attemps to verify
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Try ejecting the tray again manually and reinserting it. That text in the status bar should change.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Then I guess you're stuck burning those discs at 4x. You might have more luck burning at the higher speeds with Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden media. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may also help.
gobucks4ever Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 any reason why all of a sudden its takes an hour to analyze & an hour to encode with dvdshrink.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Sorry, no. Check CPU usage during that time. If it's low (taking into account it might only be running on a single CPU core), the drive (or hdd) must be the bottle neck.
