Empty discs

Hello to everyone reading this,

 

I have some sort of problem with burning DVD-R discs with data, although I post as Imgburn support, Im positive this reliable piece of software has nothing to do with it. I need to produce a bootable copy of windows 7 for my laptop which is suffering some short term replacement (windows xp). I have tried burning about 10 of these Philips 8x DVD-R discs but they've all turned out to have some sort of problem after the burn and end up being seen as 0 bytes on the disc. Now I know these discs must not be compatible with my harddrive (Tsstcorp l6233j) but I cant help but notice what happens to these discs after the burn. They look reflective in the beggining but they end up with dense rings of different lengths after. Can ALL of 10 discs really be faulty? I tried burning these pack of discs on my sisters laptop and Im getting the same problem.

 

My question is to look for what exactly is happening here. Thats all.
