How Large is an Image File?

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I am trying to use ImgBurn to create an .iso image file of a data DVD. The size of the data on the DVD is 3.03 GB.

ImgBurn takes about 2 min to read the disk, and then takes about another 20 min to create the .iso image file and eventually fails when it fills up all the available space on my hard drive (38 GB).

Is this normal?

Thanks for your reply.

I was using 2.5.6.0. I upgraded to 2.5.7.0 and got the same results.

That's the problem, your drive is returning incorrect info - due to a firmware bug.

You might be able to find a firmware update to fix the issue by visiting the website of whoever manufactured your laptop.
