Blu-ray verification errors and bad burns on Sony BD-RE & BD-R DL

I have started to get bad burns using Sony BD-R DL and also Sony BD-RE discs. Although the burns were sucessful the verfications failed just prior to the mid way points of the disc (layer breaks?).

The blu-rays pixelled at the mid way point of the movies.

Strange since I alsways used the BD-RE DL's for testing with good results, yet they now are returning the same verfication errors as the BD-R DL's.

I have used a cleaning disc also.

See if a full erase works on the BD-RE disc.

 

If the drive is failing to burn any DL disc, you'd probably have to try another drive to see if yours is just faulty.

Full erased locked up at various % points with Imgburn using DL's. I had to reboot PC to gain control again.

Failed to burn using Ashampoo 11 program as well.

Replaced Burner resolved all issues. These Blu-ray writiers aren't lasting more than a year and I not a heavy user. Burner replaced under warranty though
