memorex DVD burners

Newbie question....who is the OEM for Memorex DVD burners and what settings should I use to set for CD-ROM in IMGBURN?

What does it show up as in the program?

It show's up as: "Memorex DVD+-RAM 530L v1 QM62 (USB)"

 

Is that what you are looking for?

It's probably a LiteOn.

 

It looks to be quite an old version too... have you really only just purchased it?

I did...Amazon...it has firmware "A102". Does that help?

Not really... especially as it looks like the firmware version is actually QM62 - as taken from the device identifier you posted above.

 

By learning of the drive's actual manufacturer, what exactly were you hoping for anyway?

 

Even if it is a rebranded LiteOn, the Memorex firmware may have disabled some of the usual LiteOn features/functionality.

Thanks for the response....just trying to make sure I have the settings right in imgburn so it burns CD_ROM?? Am I focused on the right thing or is there something else I should be looking at?

Everything should just work and you shouldn't have to do/change anything.

 

If the program spots an obvious error in the settings then it'll tell you about it.

 

If you tell us more about what you're trying to burn (in detail please), we might be able to help a bit more. Please don't forget there are loads of guides in the Guides forum too.
