Does anybody know why this is happening? I burned off 3 copies of EFLC perfectly fine, same discs, same everything. Until now , i have no discs left, wasted 3 on the 1st disc of la noire, all 3 failed, also is it possible to re-write on these discs? i have verbatim 8.5Gb dual layer DVD-R discs. Please reply soon.

Seems like your burner doesn't like those Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL discs.

Try burning at 4x, or maybe cleaning the burner with a lens cleaning disc, but the best option would be using another burner, preferably a non-slim burner.

Alternatively, you could try and find Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL media (MKM-001-00) but they're hard to find.

Yes, but you also had 3 failed burns after that, and 50% success ratio with the best DVD+R DL media on the market is too low, which means your burner doesn't support it very well.
