megaman951 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Hi. I just upgraded from 2.5.6.0 to 2.5.7.0 and imgburn just freezes whenever I try to close it (program not responding...). sometimes it does close on it's own, but it takes a lot of time. I usually have to shut it down via the task manager
ianymaty Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Probably your antivirus/security program interfere. Try disable it temporary, then if that's the problem, make an exception for ImgBurn.
megaman951 Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 that seems to have did the trick. it's weird that I never had this issue with v2560... thanks
ianymaty Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Just did a search on forum and found a few topics with "Trend" having problem with ImgBurn. You should report to them and ask to fix the problem in a future release.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Ok so I just installed the latest Trend as a free trial (in a virtual machine) and it seems that it doesn't actually cause it to freeze, it just makes writing the settings to the registry REALLY slow! You can see for yourself if you run Process Monitor and add a filter for a process named ImgBurn.exe Instead of writing out all the settings (about 500+ in total) in a second, it can only do about 5 per second (that's probably subject to the speed of your machine). Adding ImgBurn.exe to the exceptions list sorted that out for me.
