Simon88 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Hi, A few months ago I was having a good percentage of my burns failing, they are cheap Newegg Optical Quantum & Rosewill Blu-Ray disks.... What I did was disable "BD-R Verify Not Required" and my burns has been good, I mean no failures.... Quality may not still be the best on cheap media, but at least no coasters..... You may try this and see if it helps... I believe this enables the error correcting feature of the firmware. There are further ways, for example to reserve spare sectors, but I've still not test that feature extensively though.... good. luck...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 That setting does nothing unless hardware defect management is actually active - which it won't be on a BD-R unless you manually format it. The program logs if it is or not when you start a burn... take a look.
