LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 It's just giving the drive a 'heads up' as to how much you're going to burn. Some drives will let you overburn if the command is sent prior to burning - but in these situations, ImgBurn sends it automatically. It's always sent for DVD-R (because it needs to be) but it's not needed for DVD+R and so not normally sent. It's really just these incase you have a weird drive that does things differently if it's sent. It's not an option you should even need to touch.
