masaryk Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) Hi, I'm trying to burn an xbox game (Verbatim DVD+R DL), I've tried twice and every time burning stopped at 7% with no error log. Device buffer isn't "moving" and it's stuck at 5%. Time elapsed is normally going on and Time remaining is set to Unknown. Last Log message is: Writing Layer 0... (LBA: 0 - 1913759) Do anybody know, where is the problem? I'm using LiteOn iHAS124 B. Thank you. Edited July 2, 2012 by masaryk

Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 That depends... is the drive plugged into some sort of addon controller card (in a PCI slot or whatever) or do you actually have a Via chipset (and SATA controller) on your motherboard? If you've plugged it into an addon controller card, just unplug it from there and plug it into one of the SATA ports on the motherboard.

I'd certainly go for the SP1 update now and probably any VIA driver updates you can find too. With any luck, that'll fix the problem. If it still keeps messing up, consider investing in a SATA PCI controller card (Silicon Image chipset). Plug that in and connect the drive to that instead.
masaryk Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 There are 2 SATA ports. I've deleted SATA controller in device manager and restarted computer. After restart new conroller was automatically installed and now it's seems to be working. There was an old driver I guess. Thanks for your help.
