dwitkin Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Hello. ImgBurn looks like a great program, but I'm having a little trouble burning image files from a CD to my hard drive. I've been through the user guides already and am still having an issue. I'm guessing it is something very simple that I'm doing wrong. In short, when I try to create an image file to my hard disk from a CD, the issue is that the directory structure appears to be written to the image file but NONE of the actual files are written. When the Image Information shows up, I get 469 folders to be written but 0 files. There are lots of files on the CD I'm trying to make an image of. Here are some configuration options I have selected: -- ISO 9660 + UDF -- Level X - 219 characters -- Allow more than 8 directory levels -- Allow more than 255 characters in path -- full pathnames -- recursive subdirectories. -- include hidden files -- include system files -- include archive files I've added a screen shot in case it helps. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help. Dave
dirio49 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 i tried it on the C drive it works fine i used the open in the imgburn window not drag and drop
cornholio7 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 you need the files on your hard disc first, imgburn is not a ripping software
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 It says 'Include Archive Files Only', not 'Include Archive Files'. So if you enable it and they're not marked with the 'Archive' attribute, they won't get added. Before you start messing with settings it might help if you actually understand what each one does and how it can mess things up if you enable/disable it.
blutach Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I don't suppose you considered Windows Explorer's rather convenient drag and drop feature? Regards
