Koukol Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hello... a newbie here, I'm all of a sudden having problems burning to disc. At first I got the message "no seek complete" I came across this site and discovered it's probably a dirty drive so I bought a cleaner disc yesterday and used it. Today however it failed again but this time the reason was "Logical Block Address Out Of Range" I have no idea what that means. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Koukol

Koukol Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Ok...I'm REALLY green at this stuff...sorry. I guess I have to try again and burn a disc to get the log.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Try 8x. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc and/or try another spindle of discs. If you want to stick with DVD-R, see about getting some Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC) ones instead.

I'll Google Talyo Yuden (Victor JVC) and see if I can buy them in Canada. Should I be using DVD+rs instead? Price is a factor for me.
