Device Not Ready (Incompatible Medium Installed)

I keep getting the above message when I try and burn a disc, despite using Verbatim discs as recommended.

 

Here's the log:

My burner is an internal Pioneer dvd-rw dvrkd08a ata.

 

My OS is Windows Vista, don't have Nero no my computer. I'm getting ready to uninstall ImgBurn and go with a different program, as I am getting too frustrated with it! I have previously burnt DVDs without any problems, but now it's stopped working for some reason. Can anyone help?

If your drive can't initialise the discs you're using, switching to another program isn't going to make any difference. It's a problem between your drive and the media you're using, the software doesn't even come into it.
