bernieraffe Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I successfully burnt a couple of large (24gb) bluray ISO images using ImgBurn v2.5.6. When I upgraded to 2.5.7 the burns consistently failed with 'Unable to finalise -incompatible format' (sorry I didn't keep the logs). This happened 5 times in a row, using Verbatim bluray discs, LG burner, tried different write speeds, made no difference. I did notice that despite the error, I was able to play one or two of the blurays. I un-installed and then re-installed v2.5.6, and now I'm able to burn successfully again. I don't really need any support as I'm quite happy now that its working again, but if you'd like me to investigate further, please let me know.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 There is no difference between the two and I couldn't make your drive error out like that even if I wanted to - it has complete control over the success / failure of the burn.
bernieraffe Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Whatever you say, but the plain fact is, the same ISO file on the same Win 7 PC, the same Verbatim discs and the same burner works with the earlier version of ImgBurn every time, and fails with the later version very time. Must be a coincidence then!!
