I have a LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH12LS39 BLU Ray burner and I am able to burn blu ray discs in it but I am not able to burn regular dvd-r discs in it using imgburn while I can use other soft ware burning programs and will have no problems burning however I do prefer to use imgburn and nothing else. The dvd-r disc is a verbatim and I had read a previous posting that you all recommend the verbatims highly and that is all I have and nothing elese.. LG does not carry any updated firmware I could find for my burner and neither does firmware.com. I would appreciate any help on this that I can get. I included the log file report here.

Your drive is reporting a 'Write Error' as it attempts to burn the disc - that's is its problem and nothing to do with ImgBurn. Have you tried at all of the supported Write Speeds? Notice 4x isn't one of them.

If it's just unable to burn at 8x in DAO mode, you may have to try the 'Incremental' Write Type instead - but again, this is purely a drive/firmware/media combo issue.

You could also try enabling the 'Perform OPC Before Write' option in the settings.
