jerfilm Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I have a problem similar to one described in another thread except my error message is different. My message is: Cannot write Medium- Incompatible Format. This is also the LG WH10LS30 drive. I downloaded the new firmware and that will not install - at least with other programs running. (I had hoped to install it and "trying again" before closing imgburn. I've already lost 5 $6 discs...... Here's the log, for what it's worth: I 09:05:38 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 What newer firmware have you found for it? 1.01-A0 seems the latest to me and you're already running it. Have you tried burning at 4x?
jerfilm Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 Golly, that's probably why it didn't want to install the "new" version. Sorry about that. No, haven't tried that. Do you think there's some reason why a faster burn would solve a problem finalising the disc?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The problem wasn't just with finalising it, you got a retry right at the start of the burn too. Slower doesn't always equal better and sometimes it makes things worse.
