LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 What happens if you re-enable the 'Verify' option? I just want to see the point at which it fails. What controller is the drive attached to? Right click the drive selection box and click 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and then copy + paste all the info from the Log window.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Yes but a successful burn doesn't mean anything. Your drive could report everything working just fine (which obviously it is as I see no errors being logged), but only a verify will actually check if that's true or not. I can't tell you why it's doing what it's doing, I've never seen this problem before.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Wow, that's really messed up. Can you boot into another OS and just check the drive does what you expect it to? There's a 'live' version of XP on Hiren's Boot CD. btw, I had better burns with Online HT off, Overspeed on and burning at 4x. Burnproof doesn't apply to DVD+R, it's always enabled.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Yes, that would also work.... assuming it's the burner at fault and not something else really weird.
liverpool16 Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 Do you have any ideas on what it could be though?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Nope, sorry. I only suggested trying another OS install first because that's the free option. After that I'd have said to try another drive - or try that drive in another PC.
