Updated to Windows 8, Burning process not working on DL disks.

Hey, I have spent the past 24 hours trying to figure this one out, Basically for some reason it only takes 20 minutes which used to take me an hour and 45 minutes.I 08:52:07 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started!

What happens if you re-enable the 'Verify' option? I just want to see the point at which it fails.

 

What controller is the drive attached to?

 

Right click the drive selection box and click 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and then copy + paste all the info from the Log window.

LIke I said it sais operation complete and everything makes the nice noise. should take an hour and a bit and now its taking like 20 minutes.

Yes but a successful burn doesn't mean anything. Your drive could report everything working just fine (which obviously it is as I see no errors being logged), but only a verify will actually check if that's true or not.

 

I can't tell you why it's doing what it's doing, I've never seen this problem before.

Wow, that's really messed up.

 

Can you boot into another OS and just check the drive does what you expect it to?

 

There's a 'live' version of XP on Hiren's Boot CD.

 

btw, I had better burns with Online HT off, Overspeed on and burning at 4x.

 

Burnproof doesn't apply to DVD+R, it's always enabled.
