Warning Trouble on ImgBurn

Recommended Posts

I've had this warning on my ImgBurn log and was just wondering if this slows down the process of making Xbox 360 backups. I just recently bought a preflashed iHas B drive so i no longer have to truncate my backups. I thought this drive would allow me to burn games quicker, but so far it seems to actually take longer. I looked at this log one day and saw this and was wondering if this is why it takes the same amount of time or even longer than when i was writing games at 2.4x with my stock drive. Is there a way to remove this warning or does this warning even have any affect on my write speed? If not what could be making my burnings slow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You can google for that warning message, there's tons of info out there on it. I never found it to cause a problem with burning, it just slowed down reading/verifying.

If you don't want the potential problem of it slowing down I/O on your machine, get rid of the SPTD driver (usually installed with stuff like Alcohol 120%, DAEMON Tools etc).

If you think your machine is slow at burning the DL discs, post a log from such a burn we'll take a look.

There's nothing wrong with the speeds or time taken to burn/verify in that log.

Alright thank you. Would it be possible to write at a faster speed or would that cause an error to the game in the end?

You're already writing at 4x, I don't think anything faster would actually work.... your drive will just error out during the burn or the disc will be unreadable.

Rings come from the drive adjusting the power of the laser during the burn. They aren't necessarily a bad thing.

What I'd actually do if I were you is try to use the settings that worked for me in testing.

Disable the 'Online HyperTuning' and 'Overspeed' options. Then perform a 'Clear OPC History' and try burning again.

Where were your discs made? Take a look on the packaging. The ones from Singapore seem to be the best.

I turned them off and do I have to "Clear OPC History" every time i burn a disc? Also, can i still write at 4x? Or should I take it back down to 2.4x?

Thanks.

Nope, just the once.

Mine were burning fine at 4x with those options selected.
