DrZoo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) I've had trouble with this same problem on this drive. I've successfully burned images with my laptop using DVD-RW. I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Here is a log file to help debug. Thanks for the help! I also get this error in Event Viewer. Log Name: System Source: cdrom Date: 10/29/2012 10:58:33 PM Event ID: 7 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Ryan-PC Description: The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block. However, I could use this CD on my laptop and it will work just fine. ImgBurn.log Edited October 30, 2012 by DrZoo
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Your drive is reporting the format is 99% complete, that's all ImgBurn is showing. Regardless of the % complete reported by the drive, a full format at 4x isn't going to finish in 4 minutes, it's going to take 15-20 minutes. If the drive still doesn't finish doing it after that time, either it just has a problem with that disc (scratched / dirty?) or it has a problem with the 'INFODISC-A10-01' MID/dye in general - buy some different ones.
