Will ImgBurn work w/CD-Rom?

Hi,

Will ImgBurn work on a CD-Rom?

 

I know nothing about such things and have spent countless hours trying to burn a copy of Puppy Linux with ImgBurn without success. Keep getting the message that the device is not ready. I'm working on my very old Dell Dimension 2400, which only has a CD-Rom, in hopes of using the Puppy Linux to salvage some personal files from my newer Dell that went down and won't repair with the installation disc.

If your drive can't physically burn to discs (i.e. it's a plain old reader and not a writer), ImgBurn isn't going to change that.
