Harish Kumar Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) [i am now attempting to backup a DVD of a famous movie.] This is with reference to the "End of the World Problem" which occurs when you attempt to burn to a dual layer DVD, and ImgBurn cannot find the layer break. A solution to the problem is offered here at: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376 But this solution is outdated as the VobBlanker screens differ from what is given in the above tutorial. Notably 6. Press the button 'Split'. This will bring up the 'Cell Split Mode' window. Please look it up in the tutorial as I am not allowed to use that image in this community. But the current versions of VobBlanker look like this: Tutorial at this point says: When you want to set the split point for a new cell - press the button 'Mark' and the split point will be added. But now we have to deal with two Mark Buttons - Initial Mark and End Mark. What do we do? I chose the same sector(rel) value for both. And when I followed the rest of the steps (press OK button, followed by the APPLY button, and then the PROCESS button, I get the following warning in my log file: (even as it is processing) WARNING: Ini and end mark are the same: outputting a blank cell and then when its all over, it says: (the last lines of the log file) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Adjusting sectors Done OK PostCommands changed into Precommands in 0 PGCs of a total of 0 Finished. No Errors, 1 Warnings, 0 Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now when I launch ImgBurn, I first get this message: (initial checks indicate the image you are attempting to build may be too big to fit on the target DVD media. Do you want to continue anyway? [ I did not get this message the first time I loaded up ImgBurn. It directly gave me the "end of the world" message.]) And when I press "Yes", I get the following message: Back to the end of the world problem! Edited December 11, 2012 by Harish Kumar
