DVD-R Format Incompatible

[cal]

Hi there im using memorex 16x dvd-r and i am getting this error when trying to burn an image to dvd. It has worked before when using dvd+rw but now it has stopped. Many thanks in advance for your help.

try some decent media, CMC isnt very good at all

and try updating your firmware too

16x on that media is out of the question IMO.

lack of shown supported speeds in the log would be enough to bother me

you might check into your firmware ,this is from the official NEC site

New Firmwareupdate 1.0A for ND-2500A with Windows installer.

Pls note bypacked readme file`s instructions.

You can update from FW-Version 1.06, 1.07 and 1.09.

 

threw my 2500 in the box and 1.0A is the newest firmware .Right click on the drive in IMGburn last line check for firmware and follow the prompts I even burned to some CMCMAG that a friend gave me (her intentions were good)
