benlessard Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 My guess is that its not possible ... but is there a way to put two 9 Gb movies that are already in (bdmv+ certificate) on one 25Gb bd without reauthoring. Would those have a chance to work on some BD stand alone players ? bdmv 2 and certificate 2 for example ? Im using a media box and dont know stand alone players so well.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Nope, they'd only load what's in the BDMV folder.
FireStarter Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 But theoretically there could be player who would support a folder structure like Disc1 |_BDMV |_certificate Disc2 |_BDMV |_certificate And you have to navigate to folder Disc1 or Disc2 and start 'Play' there. At least it works for DVD structure with some media player.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Media player as in the likes of a WDTV box? That's comparing apples and oranges at the moment. If they make dvd/bd players more like media players and not just basic disc players, yeah that could be possible one day. Some may even already support playing bd structures from other storage mediums (i.e. not a blu-ray disc). On those players, yeah it could work - but it's certainly not allowed on a normal BD Video specs compliant BD player. They only ever look for the VIDEO_TS folder on DVD Video discs and the (BDAV) BDMV folder on BD Video discs.
