Run-time error 339

If you've got UAC enabled, running regsvr32 from start->run probably wouldn't do anything. Did it actually say the file had been registered successfully?

Try running it from an elevated command prompt instead.

what is UAC i know a little of it that its the privileges for a program to run but i don't fully understand it.

Stay safe and just leave it where it is. It'll potentially help stop certain nasty things from happening on your PC.

Instead, right click 'Command Prompt' (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt) and select 'Run as administrator'.

Now type that same command line (regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx) in there and just press Enter.

If you still get an error, tell us what it says.

What message did you get from regsvr32?

Posted

That batch doesn't even register the file.

Posted

it doesn't need to

LIGHTING UK! here is version 0.0.2 that registers the file

Posted

Good... but I don't need it.

Posted

Oh ok but it works on 32bit system right I haven't tested it yet on those systems

Posted

I'm not running a 32 bit OS either.

Posted

Oh ok do you think people will use it? and did you personally try it out?

Posted

I've no idea. If someone has the problem, they'll no doubt search using their favourite search engine and go with whatever comes up first.

I didn't try it, no.

Posted

I believe the fastest here at the moment is 100Mb (or 120Mb).
