I'm new to this, so forgive my ignorance. Are country codes something that imgburn can incorporate, or are they a problem at all? For example, I assume there is a byte somewhere on the disk that IDs the zone..are these mandatory or optional? Do imgburn disks work anywhere? (which is what I want.)

All the best to the forum,

ImgBurn will burn whatever is in the image, usually the stripping of country codes is done by rippers (zone free) ImgBurn is not a ripper, so, if you have the files on your HDD, there is a good chance that it IS zone free.

That's about as far as we can go about rippers in this forum.

So, I'll check with the forum on the tool I used to turn my home movies into DVD images. Thanks for the info, i appreciate it.

Home movies? Sorry, I thought you were talking about actual DVD's, there is no country codes on stuff you make yourself, or am i not understanding what you're trying to do?
