Hi total newbie to making videos so read as much as I could on here first but unfortunately understood perhaps about 10 per cent, and not being a techie on top my apols in advance....

Finally managed after ages to get to ISO stage and uploaded the file ok after having bought a brand new pack of about 30 odd Cds last week from Sainsburys by Sony - DVD-R. Also I used a spare that's been lying around for a bit as well Phillips DVD - R.  .

However after several tries to burn with both I keep getting confusing different messages along the bottom line - Disc Empty, Device not ready, medium not present, as well as quite a lot of hopeful sounding loading information en route but which finally came to a halt about half an hour ago with Device not present, medium not ready again. I did manage to get some info below, though there's been plenty more, from the log before everything vanished too....

Hope something makes some sense so would really welcome any help please

Thanks in advance :;-)

If your computer has SATA ports on the motherboard, you should be able to pick a new burner up for

If it only has IDE, you'll have to try and find somewhere that still stocks them. They haven't really been making IDE drives for a while now.
