EntombedMeatwad Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I correctly followed the steps for burning blu ray discs as explained in the forum and I keep getting an error message. I understand burning DVDs and CDs but im a total noob when it comes to blu ray. I was just wondering if someone could maybe point me in the right direction. I looked into finding a new driver, but I dont want to do that if I dont have to.. Attached is an image of the error message & heres the program log: I 15:56:49 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started!I 15:56:49 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Edition (6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1)I 15:56:49 Total Physical Memory: 8,331,120 KB - Available: 5,996,284 KBI 15:56:49 Initialising SPTI...I 15:56:49 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 15:56:49 -> Drive 1 - Info: Slimtype BD E DS6E2SH CL61 (E:) (ATAPI)I 15:56:49 Found 1 BD-ROM/DVD±RW!I 16:29:59 Operation Started!I 16:29:59 Building Image Tree...I 16:30:01 Calculating Totals...I 16:30:01 Preparing Image...I 16:30:01 Contents: 341 Files, 36 FoldersI 16:30:01 Content Type: BD VideoI 16:30:01 Data Type: MODE1/2048I 16:30:01 File System(s): UDF (2.50)I 16:30:01 Volume Label: UNDEFINEDI 16:30:01 Size: 23,280,312,458 bytesI 16:30:01 Sectors: 11,367,461I 16:30:01 Image Size: 23,283,171,328 bytesI 16:30:01 Image Sectors: 11,368,736I 16:30:03 Operation Successfully Completed! - Duration: 00:00:03I 16:30:03 Operation Started!I 16:30:03 Source File: -==/\/[bUILD IMAGE]\/\==-I 16:30:03 Source File Sectors: 11,368,736 (MODE1/2048)I 16:30:03 Source File Size: 23,283,171,328 bytesI 16:30:03 Source File Volume Identifier: UNDEFINEDI 16:30:03 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 424983BD00AD7725I 16:30:03 Source File Application Identifier: ImgBurn v2.5.7.0I 16:30:03 Source File Implementation Identifier: ImgBurnI 16:30:03 Source File File System(s): UDF (2.50)I 16:30:03 Destination Device: [0:2:0] Slimtype BD E DS6E2SH CL61 (E:) (ATAPI)I 16:30:03 Destination Media Type: BD-R (Disc ID: RITEK-BR3-000)I 16:30:03 Destination Media Sectors: 12,219,392I 16:30:03 Write Mode: BDI 16:30:03 Write Type: DAOI 16:30:03 Write Speed: 4xI 16:30:03 Hardware Defect Management Active: NoI 16:30:03 BD-R Verify Not Required: YesI 16:30:03 Link Size: AutoI 16:30:03 Lock Volume: YesI 16:30:03 Test Mode: NoI 16:30:03 OPC: NoI 16:30:03 BURN-Proof: EnabledW 16:30:03 Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted: 17,983 KB/s (4x), Got: 8,990 KB/s (2x)I 16:30:03 Advanced Settings - Force HT: No, Online HT: No, OverSpeed: No, SmartBurn: YesI 16:30:04 Filling Buffer... LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That drive can read BD discs but it can't write to them. It's what's known as a 'combo' drive.
