AndyL Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 In the past Iv'e used imgburn to burn a video ts to a DVDR disc , but what about avi files in a folder ? I would like to burn 3 avi files to a 8.5 double layer disc and sound like a possibility ?
ianymaty Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 If they fit in the space, yes you can burn how many you want. That is for archiving purpose. I suppose you don't expect it to be played on a regular DVD player unless you know for sure the player has support for playing avi files.
AndyL Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 My DVD player has support for playing the discs I want to burn because I watch them all the time . I want these movies only to watch on my standard DVD player , not my PC . I guess it's a matter of finding the right program , or it could be there's not enough room even for a double layer .
ianymaty Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Try load them in DVD Flick or DVD Styler and set the target to a DVD9 (8.5 GB) disc. If you don't care about the quality degrade you could fit (squeeze) them on that disc.

I have found DVDFlick to be a horribly slow program ,and the movies freeze up on and off when watching them in my DVD player . I may give DVD Styler a try and let you know the results .
ianymaty Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Should there be any other thoughts beside the quote that maybe get lost? EDIT. Oh, I see it now. It's in the quote... On a decent computer should work fine unless you have a problem of multiple codecs installed competing.
