snakeplissken
Not sure if this is where to ask...I have burned dvd movies using anydvd to remove the copyprotection and rip to hard drive. Then I used dvd shrink 3.2 to analyse and encode Then i used dvd decrypter to burn..I have be told the dvd disk I used are junk...memorex dvd+r 16x 4.7gb 120min..sorry they where a xmas gift. So here is my problem I have a hp 2000-369wm notebook pc running windows 7, I can burn store bought dvds with all the previews and such and they will play in our LG bd550 player and even in my girls dvd/vhs player but not in my laptop...the computer says the disk is blank. Have tried updateding windows codecs and using VlC player, you name it..the computer just keeps saying the disk is blank when clearly its not when I can put it in a stand alone player and it plays perfect...I wunder why and what software is in the LG player thats not in the laptop. I just downloaded imgburn..haven't tried it yet..so far I have been happy with copying and being able to watch the movies I burned...just wish my laptop would read and play them sense it made the copies..So and ideas? I am at a loss...any help would be gratefull...And If I put this in the wrong spot..please forgive..

LIGHTNING UK!
If they burn and verify ok in imgburn, the disc itself is ok (at least in that drive) and should be playable. If it isn't, it's probably an issue with the files you burnt onto the disc.
snakeplissken
Been looking around...What it might be is the drive...the firmware is old..driver version 6.1.7601.17514 driver date 6-21-2006 for model sn 208bb firmware hho1..seems to be no new update..I think this is the problem..could be wrong..
