polishdude311 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Well, i decided to ask my freind for 1 verbatim disk, it was the 8x double layer model. I burn it yesterday and it worked just fine out of my HP 1260i burner with the max payload tool. I purchased a spindle of Verbatims MKM 001 that was pretty expensive and im now about to shit bricks because of it. I dont know how to update the firmware(believe me i googled it) and i believe its because of something but i just dont know what. Heres the string with the error.E 20:16:43 Finalise Disc Failed! – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out The whole log can be seen through here:I 19:28:36 Operation Started!I 19:28:36 Source File: E:DownloadsHalo.4.XBOX360-iMARSDISC1disc 1.dvdI 19:28:36 Source File Sectors: 4,267,015 (MODE1/2048)I 19:28:36 Source File Size: 8,738,846,720 bytesI 19:28:36 Source File Volume Identifier: DVD_ROMI 19:28:36 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 8a46c000MS UDFBridgeI 19:28:36 Source File Application Identifier: CDIMAGE 2.45 (12/06/2000 TM)I 19:28:36 Source File Implementation Identifier: Microsoft CDIMAGE UDFI 19:28:36 Source File File System(s): ISO9660, UDF (1.50)I 19:28:36 Destination Device: [0:0:0] HP DVD Writer 1260d KH23 (D (SATA)I 19:28:36 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00)I 19:28:36 Destination Media Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8xI 19:28:36 Destination Media Sectors: 4,267,040I 19:28:36 Write Mode: DVDI 19:28:36 Write Type: DAOI 19:28:36 Write Speed: 2.4xI 19:28:36 DVD+R DL Reserve Track: NoI 19:28:36 Link Size: AutoI 19:28:36 Lock Volume: YesI 19:28:36 Test Mode: NoI 19:28:36 OPC: NoI 19:28:36 BURN-Proof: DisabledI 19:28:36 Write Speed Successfully Set! – Effective: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x)I 19:28:36 Optimal L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2,133,520I 19:28:36 Optimal L0 Data Zone Method: Copied From Original DiscI 19:29:03 Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Succeeded!I 19:29:03 Filling Buffer… (512 MB)I 19:29:10 Writing LeadIn…I 19:29:12 Writing Session 1 of 1… (1 Track, LBA: 0 – 4267014)I 19:29:12 Writing Track 1 of 1… (MODE1/2048, LBA: 0 – 4267014)I 19:29:12 Writing Layer 0… (LBA: 0 – 2133519)I 19:51:07 Writing Layer 1… (LBA: 2133520 – 4267014)I 20:13:11 Synchronising Cache…I 20:13:14 Closing Track…I 20:13:15 Finalising Disc…W 20:13:43 Potential ‘WaitImmediateIO’ Deferred Error – (99%, 0/3) – Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:13:43 Finalise Disc Failed! – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:13:43 Retrying (1 of 3)…W 20:14:11 Potential ‘WaitImmediateIO’ Deferred Error – (99%, 0/3) – Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:14:11 Retry Failed – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:14:11 Retrying (2 of 3)…W 20:14:39 Potential ‘WaitImmediateIO’ Deferred Error – (99%, 0/3) – Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:14:39 Retry Failed – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:14:39 Retrying (3 of 3)…W 20:15:07 Potential ‘WaitImmediateIO’ Deferred Error – (99%, 0/3) – Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutW 20:15:07 Retry Failed – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutE 20:16:43 Finalise Disc Failed! – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead OutI 20:16:43 Finalising Disc (Last Attempt!)…E 20:17:11 Finalise Disc Failed! – Reason: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out Please help me out im desperate at this point, any help can be appreciated.Thanks. Adrianvdh Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Start up ImgBurn and click Tools -> Drive -> Check For Firmware Updates... If ImgBurn prompts you with a update, goto Firmware HQ and download the latest version of the firmware of your drive (look at the firmware release dates) and follow the updates instructions. Also try the supported write speed 8x and if it doesnt work try another: I 19:28:36 Destination Media Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x P.S LIGHTNING UK! I think ImgBurn has a bug (correct me if I'm wrong) but when i "Check For Firmware Updates..." It prompts me with.. " You must be connected to the internet in order for it to work!". I am connected to the internet, WTF? Edited February 24, 2013 by Adrianvdh
polishdude311 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Thanks Andrianvdh trying that right now!
polishdude311 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 When i go to drive, the option is greyed out. No idea why but it just is.
polishdude311 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Ok nevermind, i try to look for my drive but its not there. Dang. Now im really getting pissed.... Oh well... But i read somehwere that my drive is basically a clone of a different drive but shit i forgot where it was.
polishdude311 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Im selling the drive on ebay, it only worked with MKM 003s and this is really pissing me off.
