Mugsy Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I just spent 15 minutes sorting my MP3's to play in my desired order (by genre), and burned my CD only to discover ImgBurn SORTED my MP3s alphabetically upon burning! (confirmed by listing files from the "DOS" Command Line). I discovered this when I went to play my CD and my chosen first song wasn't first even with "Shuffle" off. Tried a different player... same thing. Why did ImgBurn SORT my files before burning? What's the point of adding the ability to move files up/down if it's just going to resort them anyway? Is there any way to turn sorting OFF?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 They're sorted alphabetically in the file system regardless of other options about maintaining the sort order when positioning them physically on the media. If you want mp3 files in a certain order, stick a 2 digit number before the folder / files names.
