Rrrr Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Hi Apologies in advance for getting back to this old theme, but I have not found a solution to my problem: I need to burn a double layer disc to DVD-ROM type (Verbatim MKM-003-00) understand that after setting book type to DVD-ROM, it is for some drive not obvious to verify the setting other than burning a disc and reading it back in. ISSUE From the many postings, I cannot understand how I can be certain I am looking at the right information when reading the right-hand window after inserting the burned DVD+R DL. When I look at the top, current profile, it says DVD+R DL for a burned disc. This is different with a DVD bought at the shop: it says then DVD-ROM. It seems easy enougn, but when I look further down, it says book type a number of times, sometimes DVD-ROM and sometimes DVD+R DL Can someone with more experience than me, tell me how to be sure if this DVD (log below) was burned with DVD-ROM set? Should I look at: - Current profile: DVD+R DL - Physical Format Information (ADIP - L0) : DVD+R DL - Physical Format Information (ADIP - L1): DVD+R DL - Physical Format Information (Last Recorded - L1): DVD-ROM Thanks in advance ===== TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-U633J D600 (SATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Complete State of Last Session: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 1,593,424 Size: 3,263,332,352 bytes Time: 354:07:49 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Read Speeds: 0, 4x, 6x, 8x Current Read Speed: 3.3x - 8x, 8x - 3.3x File System Information: Sectors: 1,593,422 Size: 3,263,328,256 bytes Time: 354:07:47 (MM:SS:FF) TOC Information: Session 1... LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 The 'physical format information - last recorded' one is the important one.
Rrrr Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 thanks a lot for your lightning fast reply (this means the burning was correct, but nevertheless the DVD not properly recognised as authentic.)
