Hey guys,

As you can probably tell, I'm new to ImgBurn and have a quick question regarding the burning process. I'm looking to keep errors to a bare minimum and was wondering if there was any difference between using ImgBurn to first build the ISO image from the Video_TS folder and then burning it or just using ImgBurn to burn straight from the Video_TS folder without first creating an ISO file? Up until this point, I've been creating an ISO prior to burning, but if this step is redundant and I could speed up my burning process by eliminating it, I would definitely do so.

Also, a quick side question - I know that using the top-speed that your media/burner will let you burn at is usually not recommended, but is there a common recommended speed for the fewest errors and quickest time (2x, 4x, 8x, etc.)?

Thanks a lot guys!!

Welcome to ImgBurn Forum!!

No difference, so long as your PC can keep up with pumping data to the burner (any modern PC will be able to).

I burn at 4-8X on good media like Verbatim.
